Each project is unique, so pricing depends on the scope of your recording, the number of songs, and the level of production involved. We provide custom estimates, after a consultation, to ensure you are getting exactly what your project needs. To schedule a consultation to talk about your project, contact us here.
What should I prepare before my recording session?
We recommend coming in with your songs fully written and well-rehearsed. The more prepared you are, the smoother the session will go and the stronger your final recording will be.
Can you help with song development or performance?
Yes, we can offer an in-house producer, on request, who can provide guidance throughout the recording process to help refine your performance and bring out the best in your music.
How long does it take to record a song?
The timeline varies depending on the complexity of the project and how prepared the artist is. Some songs can be completed quickly, while others require more time for tracking, layering, and refinement. We ballpark around 5 hours of recording and overdubbing time, on average, per song with a full band. If you are a solo artist only recording vocals over an instrumental, that could be less time. If you are a full orchestra, it could take more time. It depends on the project!
Do you work with solo artists and full bands?
Yes. We work with solo artists, vocalists, and full bands, and can accommodate both live tracking and layered recording approaches.
What genres do you record?
We work across a wide range of genres, including rock, pop, rap, R&B, jazz, metal, classical, and more. Our focus is on delivering a high-quality recording, regardless of style.
Do you offer mixing and mastering services?
Yes. We offer full-service recording, mixing, and mastering, so your music is ready for release.
Can you mix or master music that was recorded elsewhere?
Yes. If you already have recorded tracks, we can mix and/or master them to a professional, release-ready standard from anywhere in the world. You don’t need to be near our studio to have your recorded music mixed and mastered!
What equipment do you use?
Our studio is equipped with professional-grade recording equipment and software used in the music industry today. This ensures your music is captured and produced at a high standard.
Will I own my music after recording?
Yes. You retain full ownership of your music. We are here to help you create and produce it, not claim ownership over your creativity.
Will I receive my files after the project is complete?
Yes. You will receive your final mixes and masters. Additional files such as stems or session files can be provided upon request.
Can I bring guests to my session?
You are welcome to bring a small number of guests. We recommend keeping the group limited to maintain a focused and productive recording environment. Please keep in mind that we are also an educational institution. We may have students sitting in on your session and will need the least amount of distractions possible for their learning purposes.
Is smoking or drinking allowed in the studio?
We ask that all artists and guests respect the studio environment. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside. Alcohol is also not permitted to ensure the session remains productive. Please keep in mind that we are also an educational institution. We may have students sitting in on your session and will need the least amount of distractions possible for their learning purposes.
Can I tour the studio before booking?
Yes. We encourage scheduling a consultation or studio tour so you can see the space, meet us, and feel confident moving forward. To schedule an appointment, please contact us here.
What happens after I submit an inquiry?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure your session time. This ensures your booking is confirmed and reserved. We ask that a minimum of 25% is put down before scheduling recording sessions, depending on the scope of the project. Larger projects may require a 50% deposit, or to be paid in full at the signing or the recording agreement.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We ask for advance notice if you need to reschedule. Late cancellations within 48 hours before your scheduled session time may be subject to a fee, as studio time is reserved specifically for your session. If you do not show up for your scheduled session, we will charge the full cost of mixing and mastering, based on your recording agreement invoice, to the payment method used for your deposit.
Who is your studio best suited for?
Our studio is best suited for artists who are committed to their craft and want a professional, high-quality recording. Whether you are just starting out or have experience, we are here to support you in creating your best work.
Is the first recording session really free?
Yes. We offer a free first recording opportunity for select artists so you can experience the studio, as well as give our students hands-on experience. Your recording time for your first song is free. If you want to be sent your stems, that will be a $200 fee. Or if you want us to mix and master your song, we will offer you a discounted price of $330. We ask that all artists booking a free recording session leave a $50 deposit to secure their slot and ensure that they will be here for their scheduled studio time. At the end of the session, you can choose to put that deposit toward the stems or having us mix and master your song. If you do not show up for your free recording session, you will forfeit your deposit. We reserve your time for our students to practice what they learn and it ultimately hurts both us as instructors and them as eager students wanting experience with real artists.
