Audio Mastering Program

72 HOURS (8 WEEKS)

The program leads to a certificate in Audio Mastering. Intensive practical and theoretical training gives students a solid understanding in all aspects of audio mastering to provide students with skills that are necessary for becoming a successful mastering engineer. Students attending this program will learn both the technical and creative sides of the audio mastering process and will be expected to complete several mastering projects.

The Mastering Program consists of the following lecture and Hands-On Skills Training sequences:

  1. Introduction to Mastering (9 HRS)
  2. Working with Vinyl, Cassettes, and DATs in the Mastering (9 HRS)
  3. Working with Equalizers and other outboard gear in Mastering (9 HRS)
  4. How to use and apply Computer Editing Programs in Mastering (9 HRS)
  5. Hands-on Lab Time (36 HRS)
