Robert Honablue founder and instructor in audio engineering at The New Sac Academy

ROBERT HONABLUE

Robert brings almost 50 years of engineering experience to The New Sac Academy. He started out as a recording engineer for CBS Records in NYC, partnered with George Benson in George’s home recording studio, and worked at Motown Recording Studios in Los Angeles. Robert has earned well over 70 certified RIAA platinum records with artists like Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, Santana, Led Zeppelin, Barbra Streisand, and many, many more. Robert was the founder and Director of The Honablue Institute of Audio Engineering Inc. which was endorsed by George Benson, Darius Brubeck, and the late Les Paul and the late Dave Brubeck.

Kecia Buehler

Kecia Buehler is a nationally accredited therapeutic musician, pianist, and vocalist with over 20 years of experience composing and performing music designed to bring calm, comfort, and emotional ease.

She holds a Specialist Certificate in Keyboard Styles from Berklee College of Music and is a Certified Music Practitioner through the nationally accredited Music for Healing and Transition Program, with certification in both piano and voice. Kecia has spent over a decade teaching private piano lessons and previously owned her own music studio, bringing both educational and studio experience into her work.

She has released two albums of original piano instrumentals under the name Kecia B and continues to share her music in healing environments, including assisted living and memory care facilities. As an in-house studio producer, Kecia brings a deeply intuitive and supportive approach to the recording process, helping artists feel grounded, comfortable, and connected to the emotional core of their music.

Jose Zarate

Jose Zarate is a very talented music producer with more than 10 years of experience using Logic Pro 11. He played piano for over 13 years, has a great background in music theory, and is very fortunate to have perfect pitch. With all of these tools, he has been able to create many genres of music and has released a few albums along with over 30 singles over the past 5 years that are on all streaming platforms.

Not only is Jose a producer, but an artist and DJ as well. He has performed at numerous weddings, small shows, and voluntarily at free events. As an artist, he has had the opportunity to work with many engineers throughout Sacramento and has developed a unique sound that he enjoys recording over his own beats. He believes strongly in experiencing emotion through beats/instrumentals just as much as songs.

Ceara Fate

Ceara Fate brings a lifelong foundation in music, beginning her journey at just 4 years old. As a vocalist, songwriter, and active member of the progressive metalcore band False Covenant, she brings real-world artist experience into every aspect of the studio environment. Ceara holds a Master’s degree in Music Industry Administration from California State University, Northridge and is a member of GRAMMY U, combining her creative background with strong operational and marketing expertise. Ceara is passionate about creating a space where artists feel comfortable, understood, and confident stepping into the recording process, guiding them from first inquiry to final session with clarity, professionalism, and an artist-first approach.

VICTORIA LE

Victoria Le is a lifelong music-lover with experience in the performing arts. She is dedicated to recruiting high school students who want to achieve their goals in Audio Engineering, Song writing, Music Video Production, and Beat-Making. Victoria has been instrumental in reaching out to more than 400 high schools, in the Northern and central areas of California, conducting school fairs and instructional presentations.
